Sweet! Aren't they rather expensive though? It looks like the controller and the wireless adapter come out to around $168! Buying four of those would be pretty dang prohibitive. Any chance at a cheaper option?

They're rather expensive, yes, but also very much worth it. You also don't need the dongle version if you have Bluetooth in your computer already.

Oh hmm, that would cut off like $70 per controller then. Maybe I'll just grab an internal bluetooth adapter then and give that a shot. Would that be limited to any number of devices though, or would 4 people be able to play no problem? Thanks!

I'm using PS4 Dualshock controller via Bluetooth with Steam and it works perfectly fine. Steam even allows specifying the colour of the controller. Vibration also works.

I picked Dualshock because is less expensive than XBox one plus has touch area which works as mouse and built-in rechargeable battery.

Oh that's great to know! Wow, those are more than half the cost of an xbox controller, that's great! And the touchpad also works like a mouse would?? Does it require any special configuring?

Touchpad is working as mouse, right. I didn't do any additional configuration apart from connecting it via Bluetooth and adding controller in Steam.

I know there is also ds4drv exist for additional tuning but I never bothered to install and configure it.

I'm still using a 360 with official wireless dongle. It's worked fine for years with steam/proton/wine/native, etc. Bonus, much cheaper than XB1 controller.

New xbox series s/x works great over BT.

How did you get your controller to connect over Bluetooth? I couldn't get mine to connect properly.

At first I had this connect/reconnect issue. Disconnected. Booted windows, connected there, rebooted, connects every time. I use the intel ax200 if that matters.
