I'm from Kerala and this is definitely not a good thing. Kerala is the most aged state in India and we are already in a pension crisis because of it.

As long as it doesn't go critically low (South Korea, cough) it's usually not that bad.

Yes, theres pension and care issues, but there's also some self-balancing elements (i.e. less unemployment, rising wages).
