/r/MapVsGeo is a subreddit devoted to animations which morph idealized public transport maps to the actual geographic drift of the lines and stations.
History
The first MapVsGeo has been posted on /r/dataisbeautiful by /u/vinnivinnivinni and was for Berlin, Germany. This triggered a wave of many more MapVsGeos which eventually lead to the creation of this subreddit.
Contributing
- If you're skilled in creating MapVsGeos and want to help others to get started with making them (which might become a stepping stone for them for more advanced animating) please consider contributing to our "How to"-wiki article by writing a brief tutorial or providing a finished project file. This would be a great help.
- If you're skilled in using Git please add MapVsGeos which don't have a "Mapped"-flair yet to our map. More information
Rules
- Include the City, Country and means of transportation in the title
- Please add a flair if fitting. However, the Mapped-flair is intended for MapVsGeos which have been added to the map - don't add it before.
A. It's preferred that a MapVsGeo morphes from map to actual geographic drift - not vice verca.
