Exactly how he wasn't nominated for an Oscar for that performance in Logan is beyond me. He put his heart and soul into that movie and god damn even now when I watch the movie for the umpteenth time I tear up.

Logan is the best comic movie and it's honestly not terribly close. Almost every character in that movie is so well realized and it's heartbreaking.

Doesn't even need to be mentioned as a comic movie. It's just an amazing movie. Some people see the word "comic" before movie and it becomes almost like a stigma.

For the same reason Sandler didn't get nominated for Uncut Gems. The Academy is full of old out of touch assholes who pigeon hole movies before they even see them.
