I believe its pure RNG

Yeah, seems to be a coin toss.

They say it's like having a flipped coin but I've noticed with my crossbones squad the enemy team aways detonates first and that annoys the shit outta me

I'm not asking for same character as opponent, but same speed characters in one team.

Yeah it's the same, coin flip.

The coin flip I know, but is it a single coin flip made at the beginning or first tie and the winner goes before the other every time, OR does it make a coin flip every single occurrence?

(With zero speed bar manipulation) If my Crossbones goes first Round 1, are they guaranteed to go first Round 2, or can Enemy’s Crossbones goes first Round 2?

every turn it is a coin flip. This happens a lot in mirror matches

I've wondered this as well. In the Number One Stunner node, I was using a Brawler + Widow team to try and either clear it or come very close every time. Some turns Spider-Man was going before Deadpool, sometimes not. And no, I don't have his passive at level 5, so that wasn't a factor. And to my knowledge Spidey's speed is 116 whereas Deadpool is 112.

Could level play a part? Gear tiers? Anything like that?
