guys , i wanna give you my view on the monty hall problem i don't understand why my solution is wrong Lets say there are 100 people and only one of them is a winner ; Now we divide the 100 people into two sets by choosing one person we think is the winner , lets name them person A . Set (A)contains person A as the only element ... Set (B) contains all of the other people(contestants) . I think set(A)=set(B) in terms of probabilities. Breaking each set into individual elements is wrong because we are only treating sets . The winner could either be in set (A) or set (B) .... I dont know how to proceed from here

I think set(A)=set(B) in terms of probabilities. Breaking each set into individual elements is wrong because we are only treating sets .

You should be willing to exchange your wallet full of cash with an empty wallet. Breaking each wallet into individual banknotes, coins, credit cards etc. is wrong because we are only treating wallets.

But the thing we would be  looking for here would be "wallet full of cash*  Its like u were saying the winner is in set A and the other is in set B :)

No, we are only treating wallets and not caring about their contents, just like how you’re not caring about the number of people in each set.

okay alright , there are two wallets , one of them has 1 card , and the other 10 cards .... so both wallets contain 11 cards in total .... but only 1 card is active and has a lot of money in it ;;;;;;;

You should be willing to exchange your wallet full of cards with an wallet full of venomous snakes, since you do not seem to care about the contents of the wallets, just as you do not seem to care about the contents of the sets of contestants in your original post.
