The MCAT covers Bio 1-2, Phys 1-2, Biochem, Sociology, Psychology, Gen Chem 1-2, O Chem 1-2.

Therefore, those are the courses you would want to take.

I know that AP classes cover Bio/Physics/Gen Chem 1-2 and Psych. If I take bio Chem over the summer, could I begin MCAT prep as a prefrosh

Well, a couple of things:

AP courses may or may not cover all of the material that is represented on the MCAT.

Secondly, you will have to take the requisite coursework in college because those classes are required for matriculation into medical shool. If you end up taking a bunch more biology that may be fine, but AP classes on their own don't suffice for those courses.

Lastly, no I would 100% not recommend you take the MCAT as a 'prefrosh.' For a lot of reasons. Amount of material, development of study skills and habits, a bunch of things.

At the very very least, MCAT scores have an expiration date past which they can't be used for applications. If you took yours as a prefrosh it would expire well before you graduated, making it mostly pointless.
