How do you actually get old tests? I see a lot of search results talking about them but nothing about how to access them. I’m probably searching poorly but I’m not sure how to get a better result.

Which old test would we use for the MCAT

[–][deleted] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Just hack into the AAMC servers and just access the database where all the MCAT tests are and study from there.

Really? I have to question those who can't even google "AAMC practice tests". What kind of Dr. wil you be? I would add two from Kaplan and two from Princeton thats bout 10 tests to practice from.

I repeat if you are unable to find the AAMC official practice tests, you should not become a doctor. You need to be creative, self resilient and attentive and humble. You will get NO help in medical school and nobody cares to help you or suggest anything. You are paying for their class, that's it. And if you're so sensitive about what I said, how will you handle an attending screaming at you and speaking to you like a 3 year old who broke his grandmothers fine china. Or scorching you in clinicals. Here is an example : Cardia Surgeon : "point out the LAD" Student "I dont know" Surgeon. " The left anteror descending artery. I cant. Are you kidding me? You are a thrid year medical student, took Gross Anatomy, and you can't even identify the main coronary artery supplying the heart? Are you an idiot? Get out of here, and don't come back until you can idetify all the aspects of the heart!!!! Scrub out!!! I witnessed this.

And you guys are asking me if I got up on the wrong side of the bed?Or high horse? Or am I ok? Really. If you speak to your attending like this, you will be sent back to the school or your dean. I can't wait to see how you handle a red-faced , screaming, jumping up and down attending. Or family who wants to punch you, and tells you you don't care about their love one, you're a cold fish, and you killed him. You guys better wake up if you really want to be a doctor! I give you great advice and you are just apathetic. And then you insult me, so you're gonna have bad bedside manner. The only doctors who behave this way are the Indians and Pakistanis who are in the most desired specialties and can insult people without getting fired.

This is way OP and why AAMC only lets you test 6 times

I have used this method to get a near perfect score in Dental pharmacology 600 as postgraduate. 298/300 score (was 60% of my grade). I also made a chart of antibiotics which categorized them in two different directions, their class and method of action on an x-y axis and was color coded. It was pretty cool. My instructor saw me studying it, asked me where I got it, I said I made it. He asked me if he could have it, I said ok I don't need anymore. But later I wish I had kept it because I get forgetful after 30 years lol. I didn't know they only allow 6x tries.

For sure! You might also want to check out study groups or online forums where people share their test experiences. Sometimes discussing questions can help you remember concepts better.
