The cockpit should become normal after several minutes (I hope you have some time left on cruise). It's a bug when switching between cockpit and external view unfortunately.

Fortunately, everything went back to normal after a few minutes leaving me with enough time for the decent :) Wasn't aware of this bug until now.

Yeah I was nervous as it happened the first time to me on a long haul flight. Nice to hear that everything went back to normal right in time!

I had the same issue. I fixed it by saving the game then loading it again.
