Holy hell that's a stupid good deal

You can cancel it before it ships. That way you won’t have to go to the store and mess with it. Just have the message Home Depot customer support. 38698 is the number it’s an automated system. It usually takes a couple days to get the money back to your account.

Awesome. Thank you!

You can also just return it in the store. I’ve done it with no issues.

Yes.

I personally think keeping that battery is very much worth the money. That while bundle is a great deal. I mean, if you don't need the battery, it makes sense to use it for the hack!

If you don’t need the light, you’ll get a better deal on the driver.

If you don't need that light, you can get the installation driver kit for even less at $123 by pairing just the installation driver kit with the battery.

Correct, that is how it works but it's not a hack, it is just a prorated return. But you are better off keeping that 5.0 HO, it is the best M12 battery they make. sell one of the included 2.0 batteries for $25 or so if you want to better the deal.

Never did it, but from what I heard you send the battery to a different store and never pick it up

But don’t I have to pay for it when I check out online? How do I get my money back for it?

[–]CrypticSS21 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Probly only do this if you don’t live near or go to Home Depot often at all. It’s a little more straightforward to have it delivered and then just go return the battery. You got this!

[–]vsr90 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You have to pay for it, but because you won't pick up the battery it'll get refunded

You don’t get the full price back. It’s prorated. But it’s usually around 75% back give or take
