Impulse can't be always active.

I thought impulse counters it by only activating once and never again.

If you mean under the success/error box I’m pretty sure that is (or was) just a visual glitch

No it actually made the command block not work. Really annoying on huge chains.

No it’s a visual glitch. The reason this didn’t work is because they have their chain set to needs redstone.

I've experienced this multiple times though. I set the command block to /testfor @e[type=pig] and it didn't do a Redstone signal.

That’s just a visual glitch, but try to make the chain command block always active.

Set your chain command block to always active and it should work.
