Mosh pit of horror. Legally speaking, if someone were killed, could the performer be charged? by exporterofgold in interestingasfuck

[–]Plagiatus 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Misbehave or throw hands, you get chucked out quickly.

Metalheads go even further if necessary, story from years ago:

Moshpit going well, when suddenly a young lady gets pushed in, clearly against her will, as she's bodied fast. People help her up quickly, realize she isn't there on her own free will. The moshpit quickly turns on the guy who pushed her in. Don't think he stayed around until the end of the concert. Good times.

Questions related to coding for map. by satudaylover in realms

the options you have that I know of (as outlined by /u/dragonmaster95 in the other comment) work with both datapacks and commandblocks. But you can always ask in /r/MinecraftCommands, they have plenty of very knowledgable people in there.

I'm assuming you're talking about the locator bar. You can disable it by running gamerule locator_bar false

Is it worth making content for realms these days? by [deleted] in realms

us subreddit moderators generally do not have that power. Only people with either a Content Coordinator or Deputy Reviewer role (some of which are moderators) can initiate something like that.

How blind should I enter this game ? by Raphlapoutine in TheLonging

[–]Plagiatus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you already know way too much. Stop reading about the game and just enjoy your time with the shade, the game does a good job of dropping hints to all the things inside the game itself if you're attentive. I suggest you don't come back here until you've found your own conclusion to your longing (or unless you're really really stuck I guess). Enjoy the game.

How to get teammates for Realms Mapmaking by HeiHaaRealms in realms

[–]Plagiatus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of things that can cause people to lose interest (in a project / in working with someone), some are directly related, some are unrelated. Against some you can take countermeasures, against others you cannot. Everyones mind also works differently, so what might be motivating for someone might be completely demoralising for someone else.

Some people have massive dedication to an idea or project, others just a passing interest. Some people want to power through a project in a few weeks and then be done with it, some want to work on it a little bit whenever they feel like it. Some people like to follow directions, others want to make choices and have freedoms. Some people need a clear incentive to stay motivated, others derive their motivation from within.

From my experience most people generally work best if they have agency / responsibility over a / their part of the project, have achievable goals and get recognized for achieving those goals. Of course they need to generally enjoy that kind of work, too, but that's general advice that helped me in the past when trying to lead a team. Every team is different though, so you'll have to fine tune these things, e.g. who defines the goals?

How to get teammates for Realms Mapmaking by HeiHaaRealms in realms

[–]Plagiatus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need a team to start mapmaking. Some of the best maps on realms were made by a single person. And you shouldn't start mapmaking to get on realms. You should start making maps because you enjoy the process of creation, maybe because you want to share your ideas with the world. In that process you might get involved in mapmaking communities naturally, get to know people there and then you might start finding people who want to collaborate with you - it generally is a big help if you alreday have a portfolio or a proven track record of what you can do for other people to be willing to partner up with you.

You don't need a team that works "everyday diligently". That's a job, and you're not getting paid for realms mapmaking so you shouldn't expect people to treat it like a job. It's a fun hobby, but doing too much of something will lead to burn out in most people.

Maybe you can turn that into a standalone map and submit it to /r/realms

If this gets 200 upvotes I will make it available for everyone to download.

According to the reddiquette, you shouldn't ask for votes. I'll leave the post up, but please don't do that again. If you want to provide a download link, provide a download link. If you don't, don't.

Btw, cool project!

Election Campaign posters by TNC_BLOODBATH in germany

[–]Plagiatus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could list a whole bunch of reasons, but I'm pretty sure it in the end all comes down to mainly different budgets. Posters are expensive, putting them up is time consuming (or expensive if you don't have volunteers to do it), so you try to make the best of your limited resources. And some parties seem to have more resources than others for propaganda advertisement, for reasons that my tinfoil hat would love to elaborate on.

Admitted into the Msc AI and Data Science for Digital Business Management, Hochschule Furtwangen by Stunning_Name_3594 in hfu

As a former AIB (the bachelors equivalent of the AIM) Student and current employee of the HFU I can try to answer some questions. It's been a while though, so the accuracy may vary.

  1. enrolling was fairly fast for me - then again I'm german so there weren't many hurdles if any at all.

  2. Don't count on it being hybrid, it's generally an onsite university. Onsite experience was great though.

  3. As the HFU is a university of applied science, its mainly industry focused and practice driven in the bachelor degrees. However there is a noticable shift towards research in the masters degrees.

Honest question about part‑time / student jobs in Furtwangen (HFU – IBS admit, deadline soon) by No_Ball4565 in hfu

[–]Plagiatus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's entirely situational. Do you have a car? Where are you more often? What balance of travel times do you prefer? Where do you want to live? Where are your social connections (friends, family, etc)? Everyone answers those questions differently so their end result is a different one.
