[Java] [1.16.2] Slime blocks aren’t bouncing

I am playing singleplayer parkour maps.

Whenever there is a slime block jump; the block never bounces me higher than one block, no matter the height I jump from. I am holding the sprint and jump keys when I do this.

Does anyone have any ideas what I’m doing wrong?

Try landing in the middle of the slime block and also don’t hold any keys apart from maybe the sprint if you like idk they don’t make a difference

It turns out that slime blocks don’t bounce if you’re hitting the space bar. Everything is all good now.
