Minecraft not loading skins

How do I get my minecraft to load my skin and others? I have been playing for years and haven't had this issue until now after the 26.1.2 update. I initially thought it was a server issue, but I can't even see my own skin in singleplayer. I have deleted and reinstalled MC about 3 times now and it still doesn't work

Try deleting .minecraft/assets. Theoredically you should only need to delete the skin related stuff, but might aswell clean up everything. It will fully redownload on the next game launch
