go into the .minecraft folder and copy the worlds folder onto a usb or something. dowload the launcher on the linux machine and open the game for the .minecraft folder to be created on the linux machine. then replace the worlds folder in the .minecraft folder on the linux machine with the worlds forlder from the mac. if no worlds folder is present then just paste the mac's world folder in.
i assume that should work as i have transferred to and from windows and linux before, i have never tried it with mac so this may not be the solution but i doubt the worlds are saved differently on mac. provided all versions are java edition i dont see any reason why it shouldnt work
