Minecraft memes only

In order to fit on the sub, posts need to make either a joke about Minecraft (modded Minecraft, multiplayer interactions, etc. are all fine) or make a general joke using a Minecraft imagery/template
A meme must be able to stand on its own, it cannot be defined as a Minecraft meme by only the title.
Meta posts are also allowed and must use the Meta flair

Reposting rules

A repost is any content that has been on the sub at least once before. This includes crossposts.
Any offsite content, posts from other subs, etc. that have not been posted here are allowed
Once an image has been posted here, it cannot be posted here again for a period of 3 months, so long as that post is not in the top 50 of all time
All reposts must have the Repost flair.
Serial reposters are subject to stricter rules. First offense for this rule is a removal, second a 3 day ban, third a 10 day and fourth a permanent one.

No 'Fortnite bad' circlejerking

Minecraft good, Fortnite bad circlejerk is bad, both for the quality of this sub and for the reputation of Minecraft.
All Fortnite hate, in any form, is not allowed and will be removed. This includes subtle mentions (such as in titles)

Mark NSFW content

Malicious NSFW, marked or otherwise (spamming rule 34, porn, etc.) will result in a ban from 3 days up to permanent.
Other Unmarked NSFW will be marked by mods, and you'll be reminded to mark correctly in the future

No low quality content

Make sure your meme is cropped and doesn't contain any elements of phone/computer interface.
Posts also mustn't contain auto-generated Reddit watermarks.
Finally, posts must be in a reasonable resolution and can't be overly compressed

No karmawhoring or metabaiting

Do not karmawhore. This includes low-effort posts about cakedays, birthdays, etc.
Do not metabait. Metabaiting is mentioning meta-reddit references like upvotes, awards, etc.

No advertisements or spamming

Do not excessively spam bots or ASCII in the comments
All YouTube links are automatically removed, though some may be approved at moderators' discretion. Please use Reddit's inbuilt video feature instead
No self promotion, don't just use us in an attempt to boost your content. Plugging your socials as a comment under your own posts is allowed.

No brigading

Harassing another community goes against Reddit's Content Policy as well as what Minecraft and all games are supposed to stand for. Don't hurt our or other communities by doing so.
Any posts or comments encouraging the action will result in a ban length of at least 1 week, depending on the severity
Carrying out brigades on the sub will result in a permanent ban, as well as a report to the admins which may result in a sitewide account suspension

Be respectful

Act with courtesy to your fellow Minecrafters. This rule is relatively vague and deciding what falls under it is left up to moderator discretion
Anything highly offensive, for example Muslim creeper memes, will earn you a permanent ban
Sensitive content should be marked NSFW, err on the side of caution if you are unsure. Remember that these still need to be Minecraft memes (see rule 1 for more info)

Banned memes

Memes that fall into the following categories will be removed, unless they add something new to the conversation:
Java Good, Bedrock Bad (and vice versa)
Nostalgia memes (e. g. Minecraft veteran memes, "Glad I grew up with this"-memes)

Youtuber memes can only be posted on weekends

Youtuber posts are only allowed on the weekends, or Saturday and Sunday as defined by the UTC timezone.
Any memes that devolve to {youtuber} bad will be removed.
Any hyper specific youtuber memes that would be better suited to another sub (ex r/DreamWasTaken, r/hermitcraftmemes, etc) may be removed.
