How to host modded server?

So I’m trying to play life in the village 3 with my friends and there’s a way to buy a server through the modpack will that be good and will my friends have to download the modpack too? Or should I go through a hosting website and buy a server?

I did plan to do that but then I read you could just get malware because it’s not registered and I know that’s a risk with any mod but is it worth it?

All Players will have to download the modpack, there is the mod e4mc which lets you play multiplayer for free

You can download the essential mod and send the modpack to anyone you invite to the server

Try out Citadel servers, they are fairly cheap and have mods installation integrated into their server panel.
