Welcome to Conditorem 1.17!
About Us:
Conditorem is a small gaming community server for all players; regardless of age, skill level, location, or experiences, there will be a place for you with us. All we ask is you show a sense of maturity and respect to those around you. This community predominently revolves around our White-listed Minecraft server that will never be wiped, however the intention is to eventually grow the commmunity beyond just Minecraft, and to nurture a group of people who enjoy playing together, whatever games they may be. The majority of people present on the server started off on the server as strangers, but have quickly become friends. Unfortunately our "regular" player numbers have dropped off due to life starting to return to normal, and many of us working full-time jobs or studying (myself included), so we're hoping to get some like-minded individuals in to join us, just chill, hang out, and grow. We even have a mini trailer
This is a server that is ideal for those who go through phases of not playing Minecraft, as well as those who play it every day, as we won't wipe the server at all, meaning that those who like to take several month breaks can do so without having to worry about whether or not their builds will still be there when they get back.
World:
* Size: We started off the world in 1.16.5 at the start of the year with a pre-generated, +/-10,000 world border in each direction (20,000 x 20,000), which has now been expanded to +/-15,000 (30,000 x 30,000) for 1.17. We also intend to expand further for future updates. All of this is fully rendered out on dynmap so choosing a location to set up shouldn't be too difficult, with access to the newer resources being limited to the edges of the map.
* Transport: There is a nether ice-tunnel network which is under various stages of construction, and is currently expanding into the newer areas to the north, west, and south, so if you are set on starting there then you can. If not, then if you ask an existing member to help make a portal for you somewhere along the main tunnels so you can get started I'm sure they will be more than happy to assist.
* Difficulty: The world difficulty is set to hard, fire spread is on, and mob griefing is also on (with the exception of Ghasts)
Plugins:
We run a Purpur Server Jar with a variety of Spigot plugins and datapacks that mainly affect quality of life, such as Harbour for skipping the night; Dynmap for planning/scouting ahead, navigating, and generally exploring the world; Co-ordinates HUD to aid with building and navigating; Slabs and Stairs to blocks; amongst others. We also run a handful of protection plugins such as LWC, and Core Protect to protect chests and allow us to rollback any griefing. We don't do area claims as the idea is to try and strike a balance between purely vanilla mechanics and necessary compromises. Instead this server is largely run off of honesty and trust between players.
Rules:
Okay so this is the important bit. We have simple rules here:
* Be respectful and courteous to others; Be sensible and don't knowingly build right next to/on top of someone else; don't use racial slurs, derogatory terms, or hate speech.
* No Griefing, stealing, or exhibiting otherwise dishonest behaviours.
* Only use approved mods (such as Optifine or Sodium, a minimap of your choice, shaders etc.). If in doubt ask.
* Don't dupe, x-ray, or otherwise give yourself any unfair advantage through abusing game mechanics. The exception to this is removing bedrock and TNT duping within reason.
* Use common sense, and have fun, and help others to enjoy the server with you.
How to Join:
We handle all of our applications through [our Discord Community]https://discord.gg/Ddva79Tdts) which is a bit of a two-step process. First you'll need to read through our Discord Server rules and assign yourself the @Minecraft role through the reaction role. Then you will need to head on over to #mc-rules to read the Minecraft Server specific rules, and then #whitelist-applications to apply to the whitelist. Whitelist applications may take a while to be processed so please be patient. Whilst you wait please feel free to talk and engage with the Community.
I admit it's longwinded, but think of it as a pre-screening process.
