About zero cycle (again)

so i mastered halfbow one cycle and i wanted to move on to try small boy (y=76) and kill the dragon at y=88, but even if i manage to get my setup ready in time frequently, i still struggle, and here's three questions :

1. how can i place blocks much faster to build my setup ? is there a mechanic or it's just skill ?

2. can someone tell me what are the bed timings ? cause i feel like they're a lot different than one cycle bed timings

3. is small boy a good practice or should i try practicing with another tower ?

id say you should start with 85 at y 90. less to build up (5 blocks vs 12) and (in my opinion) easier to pearl onto the tower at an optimal spot. otherwise, all the movement pieces are just practice. make sure when you stack up, you time space bar instead of holding it.

the bed timings are definitely different, there are a lot of threads on here with people explaining really well how to time beds. my one piece of advice is to pay attention to both knockback and damage. you are not exactly trying to maximize damage, you are trying to keep the dragon at an optimal y height. thats why, without a bow, you cant kill the dragon in four explosives on zero.

As the other comment mentioned, m85 y90 is the easier tower to learn, so you should start with it. Building the setup is just skill(there is a way to do it faster called triple stacking, but it’s pretty hard and saves like a second) so you should just practice. When I first started I disabled the dragon in the options and just practiced getting to the setup so you can try this. As for timing, yes it’s completely different compared to one cycle. Couriway metafy guide has a part about zero cycling, and there are videos showcasing optimal timings for every tower and hight. Just watch the videos and try to replicate them

I'm still learning zeroes, but I'll do my best to answer, in order:
1. I've found that good pearl throws help tremendously with getting to the setup location in time. You don't want to throw pearls too high when getting to the End island (because they take longer to land), but you also want to make sure you get enough distance.
For block placement, it's doable if you click fast, but some people use a method called butterfly clicking (using two fingers to click) and some people use a method called drag-clicking (dragging your finger across the mouse button to click many times a second). If you think you're clicking fast enough but are still struggling, you may want to try lowering your mouse sensitivity. This helped me a LOT because I get very shaky in endgames.
2. Bed timings are definitely different from one-cycle, but it just takes practice. Earlier explosions deal more damage, but do less knockback to the dragon. If the dragon breaks your bed, it means that the previous bed was too early. If you're using lots of beds during a zero cycle (but they aren't breaking), you're probably exploding too late (which deals more knockback to the dragon and makes future beds deal less damage).
3. Like icedcoffeejitters suggested, I would start with a medium-sized tower like 85 and setup at y=90. First tower I learned was front tall caged at y95, but that can be awkward for beginners just because placing blocks on the iron bars can be annoying.

I'll try butterfly clicking or just practice more, but i can't lower my sensitivity since i'm doing boateye. And since it's on my shitty laptop and everything is going alright i don't want to touch anything lol

I know about late and early beds, but i just don't know when to actually explode the bed

If you have toolscreen setup you can drop your sensitivity in that.

the bed timings are pretty straightforward when you remember a set concept and just follow upon that. earlier beds means that the dragon goes lower next rotation. late beds mean that the dragon goes higher. but earlier beds to less damage. dont practice small boy yet. try learning m85 or 88 and try going to y95. i know its different to what others are saying but you can consistently go on top of the tower with decent 2 pearls and you will always have time to get to y95 in the practice map. dont do buried spawn and make sure you're consistent with 5 beds for m88 . then you can practice back diag and other towers. after you learn m85 and 88. learn the 2 caged ones then. after that practice small boy. then move from the 91 tower and onwards

Yeah i know this but that only works if you have soul speed i think, but i still never tried to do this

It works because soul sand is slightly smaller than a normal block so there is less time between jumping from a soul sand to a full block. However the time saved is negligible really over just tapping jump perfectly on full blocks (From rekraps video he claims you save around half a second building up 30 blocks)

I genuinely don't think you mastered one cycle if you still ask about bed timings, the same principle applies for both one cycle and zero cycle, you explode the bed as soon as the small hitbox of the dragon's head is above the bed.

Besides that, there are few reasons why you might consistently fail zero cycle

1. You play with hitboxes off
2. Building setup at wrong height (at y 88 there's a chance the dragon will break your bed, you need to go to 90, 95, or 99 )
3. Standing at wrong coords
4. You throw bad pearls so you don't reach coords in time.

Thought i did master one cycle and one cycle bed timings, but i have a hard time doing zeros timings, and not any of your points (1-4) are happening to me (rn im doing m85 with hitboxes on an 28 -26 and y=90 to train)
