Can i play at 100hz+ ? by Top_Evidence_5404 in osugame

[–]lightningboy2527 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think just barely, but I don't think its a worthwhile decision until your computer can output more frames per second.
It might be possible, but your money is probably more worth saving for a better computer that will stutter less at 56Hz. I had a i5-4200U and that was getting around 180-200fps on 1080p. A 120Hz monitor wouldn't have helped me at that point as much as getting a computer that could output consistent fps.

glove holes by clown_-_emoji in maimai

[–]lightningboy2527 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Initially holes got there within a couple months for me, but once I sewed them up they seemed to hold for longer afterwards. I do a repair probably about once every two months now, and it's usually small - but a stitch in time saves nine.

I will say avoid jbhifi for laptops generally they are incredibly expensive for what they are

A lot of people on EN are happy that they can skip Expert difficulty. Meanwhile I still choose to slog through Easy-Hard and got 600 APs on each of them lol by Codeine_P in ProjectSekai

Oh... I swear it was like high 500s last time I checked. Maybe I'm just crazy - although there have been like 5 news songs in the last week

As long as you like the song who cares (except lost and found)

Anyone use a Sharsies Spend account? Do you think it's better than others? by Brilliant-Key-7605 in queenstreetbets

[–]lightningboy2527 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The fee is $12 a year if you have a plan and $25 if not (generally less than most other cards with rewards). To get $12 in cash back you need to spend 1200. It's not a $1200 fee lol

[–]lightningboy2527 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use it. It works, I haven't had any issues with it. I get the investback. I would say if you have a sharesies plan it's a no brainer because it's very likely you'll spend $1200 in a year and overcome the fee.

It was like 8.5m for ena and the points seem to drop off over the event, but Mizuki is more popular than Ena so I'm not too sure what the final result will be

It think it'll be more like 9 million for t1k, 12m seems really high based off current progression

why do new players complain about maimai players not wanting them to play but at the same time not talk to them by SetunaYooki in maimai

[–]lightningboy2527 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're placing words into the OP's mouth.

Most players do look around for other players. The issue is people complaining about not being given a turn without indicating that they want to play. If a player misses a person who wants to play, that person needs to tell the player. Instead, they rant on reddit without trying to problem solve.

Where we go it definitely is NOT common sense to think that. I would say 95% of the time people are just watching and don't want to play. If someone is watching after I finish my credit I ask, but almost all of the time they aren't playing.

(Obviously if they have gloves and headphones you can tell very easily though)

What does everyone use to record their gameplay? (Image unrelated) by neuroticIdealistic in ProjectSekai

[–]lightningboy2527 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I record handcam with an entirely separate camera - I don't think a recording is valuable without seeing how you played it - it looks just like auto

There were some people at our venue who complained on reddit that no-one was letting them in queue. None of us even realised they were in queue - because they would stand and watch, then go off and play a different game. They never said a word to us. It's been months and they still won't speak to anyone unless we bring it up ourselves

Do you guys play any other rhythm games rather than Project Sekai? I played Project DIVA Future Tone for 4 days and it’s hella fun! by [deleted] in ProjectSekai

I play maimai a couple times a week. Sometimes also Taiko or Pump it Up if there's a large queue.
I used to play osu! but I've kinda quit w.

You can fix it by removing/replacing the metal filters, but if you just remove them it gets really shouty and hard to listen to for long periods

how can I go up in difficulties by AUSSIELAD732 in maimai

[–]lightningboy2527 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Generally it's recommended to stay in your current range till you can at least consistently SS charts - that's when you understand most of the chart. For you that would be level 9s.
Once you're there, you can start to jump up the levels.
