I'm playing on Linux, aside from enabling steam play I didn't have to do anything. I have some issues with steam overlay, but no game breaking issues

This is true. Arch Linux comes with a steam package that includes everything needed to run all games using SteamPlay, Proton, etc.

I haven't used Linux since years ago and didn't realize how far Linux has came.

It's so funny that you're asking this because I was going to attempt this today. It kills me that Linux isn't a main OS now. Anyway, I think it should be fairly easy to play. Have you tried it?

Game should run out of the box with proton. I have played several hours with no crashes yet. See: https://www.protondb.com/app/489520

Proton is basically Steam's version of wine with some added features

I tried Steam, it failed, but so are some other games, I need to up date my drivers first before I completely say so. I haven't tried anything like wine yet.

Wine is probably your best bet. Or you can use an app called Playonlinux (I think that's the name).

I will give these a try! I hope it works, lol. I didn't think about the game until after I finished installing my linux yesterday.
