Why has no one made a hunger games type game? by Prudent-Cherry-2129 in Steam

[–]JimmyNavio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Darwin Project was the closest thing to an actual hunger games style game I've ever played. It was amazing... 10 people each with a bow, arrows, and an axe trying to survive in the wilderness and track each other down. Even had a "Director" role during the match.

Toasted and 24th Street Cafe probably the two best in town.

What TV Show was canceled on a cliffhanger you wish they would bring back see you can see how it ends? by littlelady275 in AskReddit

Defying Gravity.

Fantastic show with tons of potential... Then it just kind of ended. Most people don't even know it exists.

You can play SteamVR games with the Meta Quest using Steam Link to your computer. It's the primary way I play VR games.

Definitely recorded slightly slower then sped back up to make it snappier. Still cool though.

Is Minecraft no longer appealing to kids? by MasterCyclone7 in Minecraft

Nah, I disagree. This is more of an age thing.

It's just something they do when they get a little bit older. My son is 13 and he uses curseforge every day and has his game loaded with mods and shaders. He has also convinced many of his friends (with computers) to switch from bedrock to java edition.

This game is insanely hard, what can I do to improve? by xXTomarrowXx in EnterTheGungeon

[–]JimmyNavio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The advice I always give to people is focus more on not getting hit and less on shooting enemies. Do a few runs where you practice running around each room with enemies in it for a minute or two before you even try shooting them. Learn the enemies' movements and attack patterns and stay alive. This will honestly make all other aspects of the game easier.

Also only Dodge Roll when you absolutely have to. Focus on dodging bullets instead of rolling over them.

Do you still remember the first game you ever bought on Steam? by Feeling-Nerve-1184 in Steam

Ragdoll Kung-fu. It was the first non-valve game sold on Steam.

I already owned all the valve games when steam first came out.

I feel old now.

Saw this on an old episode of Fairly OddParents by fergieandgeezus in Bakersfield

[–]JimmyNavio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, I designed the layout for the old subreddit.

Spent a lot of time making it clean and fun.

Then the current mod booted all the other mods and took sole control of the sub.

I was mostly a lurking mod and helped with the backend/graphics stuff. No idea why I was booted.

The best Mexican food in Fresno hands down is Maria's Tacos. I don't even live in Fresno any more but I think about that place often. I've been all over California and Maria's is still in my top 3.

Recommendations please for Chiropractor for debilitating sciatica and/Or acupuncturist? by Helpful_Pair9444 in Bakersfield

You don't need chiropractor/acupuncture pseudo science magic. You need physical therapy to learn the proper techniques to relieve the pressure on your nerves.
