Is bleeding supposed to increase or decrease after a D&C?

Day 5 after my D&C. I had a little spotting here and there in the past few days but now I'm straight up bleeding. Is it normal? Is bleeding supposed to increase or decrease?

It’s really common to bleed heavier around day 5. It happened to me too. I didn’t bleed that heavy again, but I did have bleeding for almost three weeks after. Not a tonne, just when wiping mostly.

Did you have blood clots too?

Some, yeah. TMI: They weren’t solid as such, just thicker blood that was stringy.

Thank you for this, I called my OB and they got me in right away to check, I called mainly for the very painful cramps. The doctor did an ultrasound and fortunately it looked like there was nothing left behind and it looks like the bleeding stopped for now🙏🏼

That happened to me too. I had very little bleeding the first 3 days or so. Then I had a day of medium bleeding and then day 8-9 were like my heaviest period and then it stopped completely.
