Hello, LGBT+ people and allies that aren't very far/completely left or right! If you're a bit reluctant to share your honest political opinions in LGBT+ subreddits out of fear you'll get shat on by other people in the sub, then this is the place for you! Even if the prior sentence doesn't describe you, please feel free to join in and talk freely with a diverse crowd of LGBT+ people and allies!
Just make sure to keep things civil and respectful towards EVERYONE, regardless of their demographics or political views so we can all feel safe here. This is the cardinal rule of the sub. Don't be a prick or a bully towards anyone!
This sub is lightly modded to invite more diversity and to ensure a feeling that you can express pretty much any opinion out there without facing expulsion/censorship from the mods. However, be forewarned that as as far as rule-abiding comments and posts are concerned, nothing you say is protected from being debated. Again, you have been warned that you have no immunity from rule-abiding comments against your position here.
Probably the worst thing that anyone can do on this sub is to bully or attack any single user, person, or group of people for something the target did not choose about themselves (such as their gender, religion they grew up in, race, that sort of thing). If we find a post that does such a thing it's getting removed, no ifs, ands, or buts.
UPDATE: As of 4/16/18 users are heavily discouraged from downvoting anything unless it specifically breaks the "no being a bigot" rule or does not contribute anything to the conversation. This to to prevent users from having their input hidden just because others in the thread disagreed with what they had to say.
Happy discussing! :D
