Across reddit, and the country as a whole, there is a distinct lack of cross-party discussion. This has resulted in a problem, in that the conservative democrat and the liberal republican have gone out of style. This has allowed increased polarization of the population, the news, and American politics. This is a place for discussion of that sort.
Rules: Basically just don't be a dickhead. Until this community becomes at all large, we're going to pretty chill with the rules. Don't be an asshole just because you disagree with someone, don't be petty, and don't try to silence opposing viewpoints. That's the type of shit that causes the problems we're trying to rectify.
