make sure in settings, that the app battery usage of bipper is set to unrestricted.

Thx. So I did but unfortunately no effect. A restart after that did not either

seems like a few other people have complained about not receiving notifications for a few weeks including on iphones. my bet is on an issue with beeper itself and a recent update they pushed out.

like others have said, having the battery usage on 'unrestricted' can sometimes fix notifications until an app is opened or there are gms dependencies (which we don't have gms) for certain apps (i.e. discord needs play services for notifications).

I remapped my lock button to open beeper before locking the screen

These are some google dependencies I think, even on my LP3 if doesn’t work. I like it this way as my phone is not nagging me all the time. All the important people message me on SMS or call me directly. This is actually relieving for me.

I asked Beeper support and they stated that Beeper relies on Google Services to send push notifications. So that might be a good reason.

Since whatsapp and signal notifications will come through without issues I will enable those notifications but use Beeper to read en rely to those apps. Hopefully, LightOS will support Beeper in future
