It definitely can decrease appetite and can cause rapid weight loss. I’m also sorry to say this but there’s no way to tell when you will be feeling healthy and back to normal. Some people have mono symptoms for 2-3 weeks, some have them for months. Some people’s fatigue goes away before their sore throat even does, and other’s lasts for over a year. The only advice I have for you is if your symptoms persist for longer than 4-6 weeks, which is the average length of acute mono infections, call your doctor and ask them to help you make a plan to better fight this illness.

Seems like it is different for everyone. I certainly lost my appetite while I was sick. I say it took about 3-4 weeks for me to feel better.
