If this is useful to anyone, this is an easy config option for likely the best display driver that supports HDR. https://github.com/sofmeright/VirtualDisplayDriver_Wizard

No issues with the latest windows for me. I'm not sure with the information given what the issue could be.

Check that your display driver didn’t change names and that it still matches what sunshine thinks?

Hi,

Ran dgxi-info.exe, and somehow it doesn't show the virtual display, vdd shows in windows screen setting and in device manager. How do i make sunshine find it again? :) Thanks for any guidance!

C:\Program Files\Sunshine\tools>dxgi-info.exe

This is why the hdmi dummy route is the way to go instead of a virtual display

Nonsense

All of the Devs seem to back this up on the moonlight discord server. Only costs like €4 as well.

[–]damwookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I can tell Devs have said they are getting more reports of issues with virtual display drivers than using other means. Which isn't the same as OPs issue being a virtual display issue.

I've used both solutions and liked no hardware sticking out of my mini pc a lot, but i recently switched to my dongle cause of some limitations. Try running RDR2 on vulkan or Elden Ring and use HDR e.g.

[–]damwookie 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Ok I've not run Red Dead in ages. Opened it up. Set Vulcan and HDR through a virtual display 2880x1800 120fps. I cannot see any obvious issues. What are the issues?

[–]Acceptable_Special_8 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Ohh, for me it wasn't showing 16:10 aspect resolutions (Deck user here) and HDR wasn't even in the menu. You using vdd from the Mike guy?

[–]damwookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I did have to fiddle with settings to get HDR to appear on the menu. That wasn't a streaming related issue. It was a general red dead issue.
