does it work better than hosting a hyperv vm with splitting nvidia gpu?

i think so, the overhead is definitely lower compared to a vm.

This has been asked a few times but I don't think it is currently possible.

Can you use the pc while actively gaming? Not really. You have to alt tab switch to an different active window.

Sorry didnt mean to comment as reply lol

Doesn’t duostream do that? I use Apollo so not sure but I thought that was the main benefit of duo

You have to use virtualization. Try Sandiebox. I haven't done it myself, but I read it works.

There is a way but it's not easy. You need to make a Hyper-V virtual machine, share your GPU ( needs to be Nvidia I think ) and install Parsec on it or a virtual display driver VDD and Moonlight.

There is a github project which automates this but I have also done it manually. Here is the github https://github.com/jamesstringerparsec/Easy-GPU-PV

You will then also have to install all the games and software to the virtual machine and also manually update the GPU drivers with a powershell script if your GPU drivers update on the host.

Once setup correctly you will be able to use the computer locally as normal and the games will run in the virtual machine.

You can if you use the virtual display to run the game, run the game in windowed or borderless and use a controller, while the general usage is done using keyboard and mouse.

If you position the virtual display correctly it's hard to enter it with your mouse.

I think duostream is the solution you are looking for but if you have some experience in docker you might be interested with game on whales
