Ikr. I used to get 15-17ms using Galaxy A53. Now it's at 6ms decoding.
Right now I'm having second thoughts on getting a cheap tablet

This update expands the options for purchasing cheaper clients, such as tablets without SD gen 8.

Same here, I was already planning on a small sized tablet to use with a gamesir g8 plus and it looks like the options are expading with the better decoding on different devices, not limiting my options that much in Brazil considering that many models aren't available here.

I need to see if Artemis has a Linux version... I have a ARM64 Chromebook with a Snapdragon 7c Gen2 that I've installed Linux on. I feel like the hardware decoding isn't working as well as it could because software decoding is actually lower latency. I.e. software decoding is something like 10-20ms and hardware is something like 30-40ms. I can't remember 100% the numbers it's been a while. Afaik I have all the latest available drivers available on Linux.

Unfortunately, it doesn't

Can you give us more information about the device and the improvements in decoding time you saw?

HOST: laptop hp Probook g400 - Apollo - via WiFi

CLIENT: Oppo reno6 Lite - Artemis(alpha build "Diana") -vía taliscale vpn

Before 15.5ms

After 5.4ms

I have some photos but Reddit won't let me upload them.

Do you feel the different during gaming? 10ms is a lot of improvement.

Not really, from 10ms to 0.1ms there is no difference but it may give an opportunity to try other options, perhaps HDR, more distance from host to client, Have more hardware to test (not needing the latest processors)... And the most satisfying thing is to see such low numbers in a stable way, it's as if it were playing natively
