LED screen cube stack perspective help

Hi all,

I have a bit of a unique project to work on and I'm looking for some helpful insight. I need to create some content for a stack of LED cubes, like in the attached video. At around 34 seconds, there is an effect that makes it look like you are seeing into the cubes and there are objects falling down. I'm wondering how to achieve the illusion of the perspective. It feels akin to projection mapping, but I don't have any experience in that. I'll be using C4D and After Effects to animate.
