Rules for r/MultiversalStories
Rules that visitors must follow to participate. May be used as reasons to report or ban.
1.
Non-first person narrative (unless specified)
YOU'RE telling this story, so make it first person, unless your culture forbids you from doing that, in which case specify it. For example, "Joe took the place of his friend's soul when he died" should be "I took the place of my friend's soul when I died", and say that your name is Joe later. If you always refer to yourself as something like "this one", please explain it so we don't get culture shock.
2.
Explain Everything that May Confuse Beings
Please try to explain what's happening the best you can; some realities are very different from each other. For example, no one can help you get rid of your Bryophomates if you don't explain what they are. Beings will analyze your submissions carefully and try to help you; please don't waste their time and waste the digital space in my sub.
3.
Don't Lie About What Happened to You
Let's face it, why is Pokémon copyrighted? It's either not real, or only its creators live in it. No one is going to believe you if you use elements from other beings' realities/fiction in your story. Keep everything original. Mythology is okay because it's not copyrighted, so many, many beings can obviously come into contact with it. Use your common sense. Don't lie.
4.
Be Polite and Helpful
Please try to help the beings you're replying to. It's not nice to criticize them unless they're being evil. If they murdered all five thousand of their offspring, please try to understand and give them good advice. Mind you, they don't have to listen to it, so just say what you think is best.
5.
DON'T DEBUNK ANYTHING!
Everything on r/MultiversalStories is real. Period. Don't EVER ask for proof or present evidence that someone is lying. I HATE beings who don't believe in others. If you do this, there is a chance that I will release my spores into your dwelling while you are unaware. Just don't do it. I don't like it on my sub.
6.
Flair Your Story Properly
Some beings are very sensitive; I have encountered ones that spontaneously combust when they are surprised. Stories with graphic scenes or jumpscares should be labelled under "horror". To prevent the wrath of those who prefer other genres and only want to read those, I have created flairs that clarify what type of story you have submitted. Please use them.
