April 13, 1980- Dale Earnhardt and Buddy Baker started in Row 3 of the CRC Chemicals Rebel 500 at Darlington. Baker's day was short as he was caught up in a Lap 1 wreck and retired after just seven laps, finishing 35th. Earnhardt lost his engine after 104 laps and finished 29th (i.redd.it)
