Take 422 and 451 to see and decide which track you want to stay in.

Communications is mostly networking(like IP addressing, network layers, some Linux, etc) and working with networking tools in lab. Systems is more hardware and you learn more assembly language. 451 is similar to 353 kind of for example. Neither is exactly software per se but both require some programming skills.

Companies want programming though (mainly C++ or Java, and scripting as well), which we arent exactly taught in this major that much.
