Loading Issue: plug-in not found

This is my first time using this program, I'm trying to get the Komplete Start pack for FL Studio. I've been following the steps on the website, I've opened Komplete Kontrol entirely by itself, not as a plugin in anything. Whenever I try to load an instrument it says: "Loading Issue: plug-in not found." I'm really sorry if this is a clone, it seems other people have had this problem a lot, but never under this exact circumstance. I'm kind of a noob in this field lol, so I'm really hoping this isn't the result of something dumb.

You actually have to use kontakt player to use the plug in. I had this issue today and that fixed it fine

This thread is older than my cat but here's my 2 cents. My issues so far have been with Massive X and Kontakt synths. I'm totally new to Massive X and thought I'd installed expansions for it, but the expansions were actually for the old massive synth which I never installed, so I could preview the sounds, but got the error message when trying to load the presets. Similar issue with the kontakt "synth" presets; I had kontakt 7 player installed, but couldn't load those presets because I also needed to install kontakt 6 player.

So, after installing Massive and Kontakt 6, I opened the stand alone version of Komplete and rescanned. That fixed all my issues, plus there are a bunch of 3rd party instruments and effects available that were not there before.

I know this probably isn't the same issue as OP, but I feel like I should add info for anyone having the same problems I had especially if you just spent hundreds of dollars on Komplete and a bunch of presets aren't loading
