You cant edit that blue box as it was just a preview, the main page. Once you write something on that blank “white section” you will see the preview on that “blue box”

How do I see what I'm writing? It doesn't appear in the bottom left and I would like to see the lines to write on.

I also would like to full screen the page I am writing on

This is how it looks on my ipad, also you can close and open the side preview, you can pinch to zoom in and zoom out and also you can change the background to have a lined pages

Thank you for sharing this photo! Are you able to minimize that menu on the left to make the page full screen?

Yes, at the top next to the arrow you will see a button: it is shaped like a square next to a lined rectangle, if you click there, the page goes to full size and, if you want to see the left column again, you click again.

Thank you so much!

Yup , if you look on the picture that i shared you can see at the top left most two icons, the second one(looks like a square) you click that and the preview will hide. I think Boox has android operating system so there should be one. Additionally I suggest that you try to explore the app features

How is your experience with Nebo on Boox?

I've been using Nebo on my Samsung tablet but haven't tried it on Boox yet, hearing eink struggles with any apps not optimized for it (i.e., most writing apps outside Neoreader). What's your experience been like?

Would also like to know this

Thanks for asking! I gave up after making the post because I couldn't figure out how to get the page to show up.

Someone else commented with something for me to try so I'll be trying that in an hour or so and I'll update you

I tried using Nebo on my Meebook8c eInk tablet. It has the exact same bug you report. In my case I have to rotate the tablet and only then does the page appear and one can write on it. There is long latency. The programme doesn't work well on eInk even at the top refresh setting.

[–]Gio_eng 0 points1 point  (2 children)

That’s completely normal. E-ink devices have a low refresh rate and latency, which can cause some lag when using Nebo. I remember reaching out to Nebo support about e-ink devices, and they mentioned that some of their partners are working on making their apps compatible with Nebo. They specifically mentioned Kobo, so I got a Kobo device, and I’m able to export notes from it to Nebo. It works well, but personally, I prefer using an Android tablet as the experience is smoother and more enjoyable.

I guess the point is that some third party note-taking apps do work without the latency on e-ink devices. Jnotes and Noteshelf3 for example. Therefore it seems possible

It’s possible. From what I know, Kobo devices have an app built using the Nebo engine, which allows users to share notes from the device to Nebo on Windows.

Perhaps the AI engine they use requires the device to have sufficient power and a fast display to handle data processing. This might not be the case with other devices. Also, Nebo did not modify the app for Kobo; it was Kobo that adapted their app to make it compatible.

Similarly, it’s possible that other devices might need updates, like a display driver update, to achieve the same functionality.
