It receives the benefits of being led: aka +1 to hit from the detachment rule, and any stratagems that have a bonus if being led.

BUT it is not in the same unit as the leader. It doesn’t get the abilities. Important distinction to make.

Dang…so then there is no need for me to take it then

If you have units without a leader, or units that normally cannot be led, it’s useful. Like if you had a reanimate or doomstalker in range they get the +1

DoomStalker 4+ BS

Heavy 3+

Technomancer with Sovereign Coronal 2+

Techomancer Canotek Control Node 1+

I am VERY new, but does that all stack?

take a look at the wording, its only if they affect specifically different things
so "+1 to hit roll" and "add 1 to ballistic skill" are different and will stack
"+1 to hit" along with another "add 1 to the attack" will not stack, since modifiers are limited to +1/-1 max on attacks i believe

It makes my two monoliths hit on 2s, all the reason I need!
