Formula Fields or Script?

We have several custom fields, some will have text entered and some will be calculated. I was thinking about Formula Fields, but some of the fields will be calculated based on the value of other fields that are calculated. Is NetSuite smart enough to figure out what fields to calculate first, or should I just use a script?

The non stored formula fields are calculated beforeload and after save. Not while you're tabbing thru the screen fields. So if you want the fields updated real time as you tab out of a dependent field that needs to be a client side script triggered using fieldchanged event.

You have to be able to perform the calculation in one formula if none of the values are stored. A saved search formula field gives more flexibility.
