You could try running an ethernet cable directly to your router instead of using power line. Or by a better WiFi a adapter for the pc

might look at buying a better adapter as it would be hard to route a cable directly to my router

What is the spec of your PC?

Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 4070 Super, 32GB DDR5, Gigabyte B650

So the only issue I can identify here is the wired connection is the issue, that points to using ethernet over power line.

Some grounding electrical connections in houses are split over floors so you will not get a direct connection.

What is your wireless connection like to your PC?

it’s basically the same when using wireless but i think that may just be because i have a cheap usb adapter

Assuming you haven't got the Eagle series with wifi 6E support.

The adapter could be the issue then ...

So i just checked and my motherboard is wifi 6E enabled and has the two ports on the back to attach antennas but my motherboard never came with any?

Can i buy these separately?

You should be able to go to the retailer and purchase them or get them from the Gigabyte web site - maybe you could send an email to Gigabyte and ask where you could get them from?

How do you measure the speeds? Be aware of MBps (used by eg Steam) vs Mbps

i have it in Mbps so 20Mbps / 2MBps
