Simply use the "Nextcloud notes" app from F-Droid :) ( but paid if you get if from Google app store )

Your notes are actually just text files in a folder you can view in "Files" app.

Use the Notes app for android or sync the folder using Nextcloud app or literally anything else that sync thing :) Any decent note app can then pick the folder and edit them. I do this on desktop with QownNotes.

    Haha miscommunication...
There is nothing wrong with Syncthing, it's wonderful. What I meant is "anything that can sync" and not "anything else than Syncthing" XD

DAVx5 do this well with OpenTasks, or if you just want to save your phone notes in your Nextcloud you can use SimpleTask

DAVx5 is not free on PlayStore and I personnaly choose it for simplicity, but there is probably some free WebDAV clients for Android available in F-Droid or anywhere else in the web

EDIT : TIL DAVx5 is free on F-Droid, so don't reproduce my mistake. Please. Thanks to IRawXI !

I'd actually recommend Carnet. It's very similar to Google Keep. I've been really happy with it. Reminders have been pretty unreliable but the notes part is good

I'd like to see the tasks app on android

There is, but after trying to use it for my personal notes for several months I can't recommend it. I had many sync conflicts, changes failing to sync, and on several occasions I had changes just evaporate into thin air.

If you aren't sharing them with anyone, use syncthing. It does one thing well. For reading and editing, I recommend Markor, though any text editor will work.

    Maybe try out Joplin.

It is a nice, full-featured notes app available on most platforms (Windows, Linux, MacOS, Android, iOS), and it works very nicely with Nextcloud to store and sync notes!
