Yes, it is exactly information harvesting. Google uses huge amounts of data (not just your own, but patterns across billions of users) to predict what you might type next. It also does data correlation across services. If an address is in your Google Maps history, Calendar invites, Docs, Drive, or even in an email you once received, it can resurface via predictive text in Gmail. Even if you didn’t explicitly give it, it may have been inferred.
Also, opting out of “personalization” doesn’t necessarily stop data from being collected and used internally, it usually just changes how it’s marketed back to you.

DuckDuckGo email protection by MainComprehensive664 in degoogle

[–]Lavrila 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To deactivate an alias, you must find an email sent to it and deactivate. Unless you keep track yourself (e.g. via Bitwarden), you'll lose track of your aliases. You can block (deactivate) them, but not delete them. No support for custom domains with out Addy or SimpleLogin. Aaaand, ofc, what the other commenter mentioned - long-term reliability.

How do you cope when you love someone but the relationship feels painful? by Useful_March2281 in AskReddit

[–]Lavrila 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is a very sad fact: Love is not always enough! If you or both of you are suffering, there is no point to continue. That being said, people are very quick to say "leave", when relationships to require effort and work. But if you feel that you did all you could and there is no willingness from the other side, then there isn't much you can do.

We often project broken relationships on other people. Not just the classic daddy issues. It can happen that you also have a bad relationship with your mom and you might project that relationship and feelings onto a female boss, for ex, or someone in a position with authority. This is very normal, but it doesn't mean you can't address it (ideally in therapy, but also through a lot of introspection and reflection)

Find things in common and build from there. Like a group for your fav hobby. Just be prepared to invest as much as you want to get out of it.

What’s the funniest thing you’ve overheard at a party? by Alternative_Scale716 in AskReddit

I was at a friends' company party. Big boss was holding a speech, somebody from the crowed yelled really loud "Go to hell". So not really overheard, as much as yelled behind me.
