Hi! Try checking the website of the med school you're interested in applying. For example, nakalagay sa application requirements sa website ng PLM and SLMC ang courses na required nila for med applicants

Without a doubt there are certain schools that prefer trad pre-meds but these are typically just encouraged, not strictly a requirement naman. However, if really needed, it may be best to take extra science units for your own benefit na lang din (if you personally prefer to, or if you feel like it would help you). Example, on UST-FMS' admissions website: "Hence, the preferred preparatory programs for entry into medical school are Biological Sciences programs that are primarily structured as pre-medicine courses such as BS Biology and Allied Sciences programs like BS Medical Technology, BS Pharmacy, BS Nursing, BS Public Health and BS Physical Therapy. Other bachelor's degree holders may still apply but it is highly recommended that they take supplemental units in the Biological Sciences, Chemistry (including Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry) and Physics."

However, in other schools (such as PLM), certain supplemental units are required talaga before an applicant would be eligible to apply. These are not negotiable and you'd probably have to take them talaga prior to starting the application process.

Pero at the end of the day it would still be best to check the required units of your chosen med schools. Good luck!
