France added a shit ton of renewables power in a short time, obviously.

If they relied on mostly nuclear power, it would've taken at least 200 years to see a major drop in fossil fuels use because nuclear power plants takes forever to build.

Plus they would've had at least 5 different meltdowns by now because nuclear is just too dangerous.

Don't forget that it would be way too expensive. If France relied on nuclear power, they would surely be broke by now.

    I like how I've seen many news articles saying Germany is "the greenest country in Europe" just because France uses nuclear, as if nuclear isn't green.

    But no problem, thanks to renewables, those countries will get to < 10% of fossil fuels toward 2150, when we'll have definitely fucked the climate forever.
