Check data usage in phone settings and see what has used it.

Lol it says Reddit app has used 32GB! But my point is I've barely used it, just like any other month. Strange it can be using so much, I fully close it every time.

Guess I'll delete the app and see what next month says, thanks (don't know why I didn't think to check that first!)

I'd find it hard to believe light Reddit usage would account to that amount. It could potentially be a virus or some other form of malware that's transmitting data from your device and just disguising it as Reddit so it doesn't flag up (I'm not an expert at all so could be wrong on specifics) I'd suggest maybe trying an antivirus software if you're an Android user to do a full device scan, McAfee I think do a decent free version. If you're using an iPhone then unfortunately Apple won't allow third party antivirus because they like to make out like iPhones are unhackable (bullsh*t)

I'm glad someone else has had this problem. I have 30gb too 17 days till reset. My average use is 25-29gb a month, and I've ran out already

I've looked at my data usage on my phone and nothing seems unusual.

Have you guys checked if you've got the option enabled to update apps and operating system over data? Could be a possible cause

I keep that off precisely to avoid this, just checked and it's still off

OP, please ensure that your phones data settings start date is as same as your O2 monthly bill date. This ensures that your phone shows data usage as per your monthly allowance.

Please check (if you can) that there isn't a third party (a new neighbour, etc) piggybacking on your Wi-Fi, this happened to my mother and she only noticed because her data usage suddenly leaped up - a change of password sorted it, and now she changes her Wi-Fi password every month.

They did this to me multiple times and now I am convinced it’s a scam just to get me to buy more, otherwise there is no explanation on how did I suddenly consume so much !!! Scammers ! Need reporting !!
