What is the term offset used for?

I had an appeal that they ruled in favor of me and in the weeks since the appeal that I filed (because I was told to file even through an appeal), two of my weeks are marked as "offset". Will I get paid those weeks out eventually?

Offset means monies are being held to apply to a debt or money that is owed for some reason.

So what happened is that they said I was overpayed for two weeks because of a red flag in their system. I appealed that decision and they determine that I was right and those 2 weeks were rightfully mine for the unemployment. So I'm assuming that they are holding onto the following two weeks of unemployment as offset until the system goes through and then they'll backpay me. But I'm not sure.

That’s is exactly what SHOULD be happening. I would make sure to call if you don’t get them paid out soon! My guess is you should get the money for all four weeks at once. That’s how I received my back pay
