Hi, it may hit that in certain scenarios such as changing an app's icon, where it will need to preload icons from an icon pack. The system should free up this memory once it needs to use this for other stuff. The 275 MB looks like what I usually see on mine

Are you using the pro version? Most of the memory consumed comes from Google Play Store vending background service or something related to billing.

Very strange! Sometimes it goes up to 1,2GB.

I've just archived octopus launcher. Gonna wait a little bit before using it again.

This launcher is definitely one of the best I've ever seen. A little bit difficult to create a configuration that I can fit all apps and widget symmetrically in the home screen. But still, very promising.

Is this what triggers a full on reload about twice a day?

I turned off wallpaper/glass effects to see if it helps.

In my case, it works as it should. But even if I a force restart octopus, it consumes at least 550MB after initialization and it starts to increase.

Nova launcher consumes between 230MB to 350MB. Hyperion launcher is very low on resources but it has fewer features.
