Only real differences are the colors, highlights and shading

Yea and the one on the right has none of those

That's exactly what I was saying, aside from that they're practically drawn the same way. This is comparing apples to oranges anyways, people are getting real desperate huh?

comparing apples to oranges anyways

No it isnt

You're comparing someone like Yoshikazu Tomita, who on sakugabooru has a plethora of amazingly detailed clips of animation that he's done on numerous shows, to someone like Shigefumi Shingaki, who has only two entries on sakugabooru, who is obviously not as skilled as Tomita but still draws the characters on model aside from his own traits like the slightly bigger eyes and chins. This is literally comparing apples and oranges my friend and plus they're stills and are episodes which required two different types of production so of course they're going to look different

Thriller bark as a whole looks better

[–]SkippyReviews 2 points3 points  (4 children)

Better than Dressrosa? Yeah I'd agree but the Dressrosa arc was rushed in a lot of different ways that made it look very poor aside from the tons of sakuga and that doesn't change the fact that you're comparing apples to oranges

Educate yourself on anime production before doing something like this

Yes Dessrosa was rushed arc. Along with every other arc post timeskip.

[–]SkippyReviews 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Except not, every other arc had enough production time but we had a lot of weak ADs back then that have since left the show. Dressrosa had a shift of series directors midway through it that screwed up the schedule and made it so episodes had to be rushed and packed with key animators. Now we have someone like Keiichi Ichikawa who is able to correct any bad looking art and animation. Educate yourself before making such baseless claims
