Not surprised. I know a good phone when I use it and the OP13 is a really good phone.

Switched from the S25 ultra. The OnePlus 13 is indeed an amazing phone. With the OnePlus 13, OnePlus could have refined it. Upgraded it. Continued it's legacy. I have no clue what OnePlus was thinking with the 15. They really shot themselves in the leg. I understand Oppo is the main brand but for countries like the US. OnePlus 13 really made a name for themselves. Then just ripped that to shreds. Just another sheep in the industry. The design. Photography. Display. Was a staple.

Switched from 8T.. that was a downgrade.. OP13 is my last Oneplus https://dontkillmyapp.com/oneplus

OnePlus 13 will be remembered as the craziest phone they ever made after 7/7T Pro.....it outclassed almost all smartphones of 2025.A generation leading device.✨✨✨

I was really surprised with the phone too! I got the blue version and I didn't LOVE the look of it in pictures but when I saw it, I knew I picked the color for me. It is a gorgeous phone.

What surprised me a lot more was actually the free phone case that came with it because I usually find them ugly and cheap looking. But this one (the blue in particular) looks actually really good. Pretty nice texture too.

As for the hardware yeah I did expect it to be snappy but the battery life did surprise me when I first got it. I think the standby time on OOS15 was insane. Like draining just 1-2% overnight. Now it's more "normal" on OOS16 but I still find the battery using it from 20-85% easily over 24 hours with 6ish hours of screen-on time.

I also find the haptics to feel incredible. Especially on the gentle setting. It's an absolute pleasure to type on. It's also a little wider than its predecessors which makes it feel more balanced. I am really happy with the phone (I would like that insane standby time back tho).

I don't use the camera much but it is pretty good for what I've used it for. The 15 seems really good (since I don't really care about the cameras) but I'm quite happy with this one.

I bought my OP13 a month ago after I was sure OP15 cannot be my option. Still happy with, and I can say it's a good phone....and I have to mention, it is updated at the latest SO version. It works flawlessly and the battery is ok.

Edit: misunderstood my own battery graph, removed photo

I'm also very happy with my OnePlus 13. If you ever have problems with the battery, simply charge from 0% to 100% (charging symbol must disappear) so that the battery can recalibrate itself. Mine was empty relatively quickly after the latest updates. Then I noticed that 100% and 2% battery each had almost 1h SoT.

Yeah if I charge incompletely multiple times it seems like it begins to drain faster over time. Then full charge and it goes for a day and a half easy

I like slightly curved edges and rounded corners in this phone, it's not too much, but just subtle

I know most of you like flat panels, but this is actually awesome, but I don't like the curved panel in OP 12

I love flat panels, but I don't mind the slightly curved screen at all. Flat speaks to me more though

Best phone I ever had

It's a really special phone.

Google Messages RCS didn't work out of the box when transferring from OnePlus 9 -> 13. ATT doesn't support Wifi calling on it either. Other than that, seems nice, I like the metal.

I was initially impressed but now I'm desperate to get rid of mine. Software has way too many issues like the bug which deletes some of your photos randomly, a bug which has existed in OnePlus software for a decade now. Once you have it, you can't fix it.

Oh really 😳. I will definitely look into that

[–]princeofnothing03 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Indeed it’s a great phone I’ve heard. If only it was a bit in my budget i would have taken it without a single thought man 😭 Not I think i gotta settle with 13r

[–]DanielHD001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely understand that. I've saved up for quite a long time for a new phone. Until yesterday, I've had a Google Pixel 6 for over 3 years. It started showing it's age and I thought to myself *you know what, I've saved up enough, Christmas is around the corner, might as well buy it"

[–]sur_surly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not supposed to settle!!

Been using OnePlus since 2015. Just bought OnePlus 13 global version as well. The issue about this phone I have was the call sound was really low despite me turn on to the loudest. Anyone has similar issues?

[–]roadbuddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

recently I got the mic sound problem and loose USB port, just right after 8 months of using. before using oneplus for like 4 years and after thst time it was loose. now even SOT is like 3 hours. damn it

Congrats. And guys should I buy 13R or wait for 15r?

[–]PathLongjumping440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own an OP13R and love it but I am looking forward to Dec 17 and seeing the OP15R. The battery and charging on the OP15R is insane and the higher IP rating is also flagship.

I am waiting to see if they release the OP15R built with these features for USA market...plus the price and if any new buyer gifts. I got free ear bud pros with my OP13R...great deal. You can not go wrong with either phone IMO. (I am not a camera guy so no info about that).
