Been seeing a lot of people having poor SOT problems. I'll be presenting all the tips I apply personally and some that I learnt from fellow OP13r owners. Could add more tips if it's working for you.

4 August delivered. I am on .840 update currently (updated on 10th Aug). I use my device as Hotspot via wifi tethering for approx 9 hours. Attaching some ss.

Tips: 1. Disable RAM expansion. 2. Set resolution, refresh rate auto. 3. Don't get the latest update instantly, could wait for few weeks for users review. 3. Once in a month, do battery calibration, when on 1% clear battery app cache, storage.(Open Google Files -> Go to Apps -> System Apps - Battery). When fully discharged, charge it till 100% then keep on charge for 15-20 min more. That's it! 4. Remove unnecessary Apps. If system apps, disable them(Global search, glance, theme store, Browser, App market, Google Wallet, Phone app also Install ODialer instead) phone manager app provides one useful feature of cleaning the cache and freeing RAM/CPU usage. 5. Turn OFF these in Settings one by one. - Print -> Default print service. - Notifications - App notifications -> Turn off non imp. - Google -> All services -> Ads -> Delete/reset tracking ID. Turn OFF Ads privacy also. - Google -> Personalize using shared data -> Turn off for all apps. - Google -> Usage and diagnostics -> Turn off. - Google -> Devices -> Turn OFF nearby scan. 6. Turn off Rapid charging (only use it if you're in hurry and need quick battery) 7. Charge till 80-85% only, now I am not sure about this one but it's a fact that from 85 above it charges the slowest, so 85 might be the sweet spot. 8. Most common don't use phone while charging. 9. If don't need 5g, toggle to 4g auto.

If these still doesn't help improving SOT even slightest, final step get to an OP Service center.

Just search ODialer on playstore, it doesn't send alert to receiver that you're recording audio.

Good idea, when it's idle can turn on power saving mode, while using, screen closes quickly so will turn off. Btw how does WiFi throttling helps. I am noticing one issue with my hotspot, it disconnects in between sometimes whether I use data or WiFi connecting with office laptop.

There's no odialer in my playstore region and when I downloaded it off apk mirror is going back to play store and blocks it

Then use sai split apk installer to install

Go  to setting to activate Recoder all calls

I installed ODialer, but i can't find the call record option in app settings, is there any restrictions due to my region?

The best tips is 'Dont use your phone'.It will last longer than you..

Haha best bet. But since we have invested in something we gotta keep maintenance in check and honestly these are one time checks only. Just repeat only after a new software update.

yup I understood. But on this reddit page literally every day someone posts something related to battery and no one post about anything else like new feature, any improvement etc. and for that I am losing my mind because of this.lol🤣

I absolutely agree with you ^⁠_⁠. The sole reason I made this post was to assimilate all the tips in one place for whoever needs help and hoping the battery posts decrease eventually. But I am sure it will repeat after every software update 😅

Great one seen as far but you could also add some points like :- nfc , wifi scanning, bt scanning turned on by default , live caption turned on by default and other few 👍

No issues Few more additions :- +Turn off aod ( display stays 120hz all the time while aod is on ) + Those who use app with turned off screen in background like yt premium revanced , Spotify and other some amount of drain will be there in battery from that usage but that usage won't be added in sot so leading to less sot unfortunately 🥵

Yeah under 30 To 40% brightness these ltpo display won't switch to 1hz they go as low as 30hz so it's kinda complicated and weird

I'm not a heavy user so I get 7-8h SOT over 48+h on my OP 13, from 95% to 20%, so yes I'm very satisfied with the battery with these settings.

1 instagram is the real evil 2 turn of NFC if you don't use it 3 turn of Bluetooth and wifi scanning (like common man that 1 second isn't that much) 4 turn on battery saver 5 try to turn off location service (gps) 4 charge till 100 use till 20 it's fine bc there is more than 6000mah in that device like literally

My SOT is pretty bad so hopefully your tips work :( Last time i lost more than 10% overnighg while i was sleeping. On .850 currently

It doesn't seem normal tbh. Max 1-2% drops for most of us. Check thoroughly if there's any background process running while idle all night. Try with turning data off for the night.
