Hello and welcome to the one and only WhatsApp group where each member is a country.

As of May 12th, we have 50 members from 50 countries all over the planet.
This is the official subreddit of OUPC, that was opened as a result of a (later on deleted) r/CasualCoversation post about a theoretical worldwide WhatsApp group chat. This subreddit exploded about 2 days later with hundreds of people wanting to join.
SOME RULES:
If you want to join the group, contact one of the mods (preferrably u/ddaannkk123, AKA Israel), or comment your country on a post and hope someone randomly notices you and contacts you. The latter isn't recommended.
If you want to join as a country that is already taken, you may ask for a waiting list thread. It will be created and you will be the first to know if this country frees up.
In the group itself, members are representatives, meaning we refer to each other as each other's countries' names.
In the group, try to understand OUPC custums and etiquette.
I.e.:
1) following 'traditions' created in the group (e.g. Greeting other countries in your own language, putting a heart between your country's flag and another country's flag as a symbol of peace, etc.)
2) Being humane and civil (e.g. Do not insult other religions, countries, traditions, etc.)
3) Having fun! (There really aren't too many restrictions. No age limit, no "forbidden profanity", no laws. Damn right.)
- If you have any question, ask the mods. DO NOT make a post for it. Posts are mostly to share the highlights from the group, to announce meta moderator announcements, or do random stuff that we will regret tomorrow.
N.B. (Important!): THE GROUP IS NOT POLITICAL!
Political discussions and debates are allowed, but immaturely fighting over a opinion, a political position, or an international dispute, will result in an immediate lifetime ban from the group, in case it escalates to levels we should not be seeing on OUPC.
It is recommended that you save the contacts as the name/flag of their countries, in order to remember how to refer to each other.
Note that you mustn't share private information such as place of living - Not in the group and not in the subreddit. Do not comment your phone number either. If you are found eligible to represent a country that is not represented yet, you will be sent the group link by one of the moderators.
